Brian Wild joined Payton Employment Law as a Law Clerk in 2024, arriving with a budding passion for the practice of law and a wealth of experience in varied employment circumstances. Before joining the Firm, Brian performed paralegal duties for a real property litigation law group in San Diego, where he honed his skills drafting pleadings and motions, attorney scheduling, client document management, and filing court documents in a vast array of California’s Superior Courts.
As a legal intern at his law school’s Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic, Brian prepared confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements and event contracts, researched California sales regulations, conducted trademark investigations, and assisted clients with their Secretary of State registrations and business filings.
As a Law Clerk, Brian works in tandem with the Firm’s talented paralegal team and seasoned attorneys to coordinate legal resources for the unique needs of each client. Brian supports aggrieved employees by helping them craft demand letters that adequately portray the discrimination they faced in the workplace, organizes client documents and responses for
discovery purposes, and assists attorneys in motion preparation at all stages of the litigation process.
Brian graduated from University of San Diego School of Law in 2023, with a concentration in International Law. Prior to attaining his law degree, Brian graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2011, with degrees in Entrepreneurial Management and Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. He spent over a decade utilizing his interpersonal communication
skills and tireless work ethic as a freelance professional in the live event, media, and entertainment industry. After working in a myriad of roles around the United States and internationally – from full-time employment in television broadcasting for professional sports teams to independent contracting for productions of community events and theater performances– Brian has dedicated his career to fighting in the legal arena for the employment rights of America’s workforce.
Brian is currently registered and studying for the July 2025 California Bar Examination, and looks forward to practicing law as a licensed attorney once he overcomes this final obstacle of admission to the state bar.
